"I just feel empty"

Ariana Grande has taken to Twitter over the weekend to open up about the mental health battles she's been dealing with of late, telling fans she is feeling "empty"

As Page Six reports, the tweet followed messages from Grande's fanbase questioning why she has been less active on social media.

“I just feel empty and i wanna have more to say / better energy to give to u and rn i don’t have anything. love u,” she wrote.

As E! Online shares, her message was met with a wave of love and support, with one fan tweeting:

"Music is your therapy and I love seeing it heal you."

However, Grande revealed her relationship with music is not quite so simple:

"Making it is healing," she tweeted.

"Performing it is like reliving it all over again and it is hell."

Fans were quick to throw support the musician's way and the following day Grande shared she was doing a "lil better," thankfully:

The raw reveal follows a recent tweet from Grande which pictured a scan of her brain compared to one with PTSD.

She shared a lengthy post afterwards explaining that she is working on her health.

"Someday, when I'm feeling ready or when I'm more healed up, we can talk more about it. I am constantly working on my health/learning how to process pain (aren't we all). Everyday is different but I'm doing my best," she wrote.

It's moving to see such a public figure speak so openly about her mental health journey and her commitment to working on herself.

If you or someone you know is affected by depression and/or anxiety help is available.
