Sophie Monk just spilled EVERYTHING and we can't even deal
Everything we thought was wrong.
Apart from an Instagram post announcing the decision, Sophie Monk has remained remarkably quiet on her split with Stu Laundy.
But now, The Bachelorette star has opened up about the breakdown of their relationship on A Current Affair.
We all saw in previews as Sophie admitted to "clashes", even getting emotional and appearing to step out for a moment, but GOLLY we did not know it went this deep.
“I’m very emotional. Oh s**t, I can’t cry”.
After clarifying again the reason she went on the show, to settle down and start a family, Sophie admitted what we all thought:
Her lovey-dovey public appearences were staged:
“Every day I was getting burnt for not being affectionate, so there's paparazzi at the airport and I was like, 'kiss me'," she said.
“But I definitely did that for the paparazzi, I could see them.”
Despite this she admits she did try saying:
“I gave it my best shot, I didn't go in this half-arsed, I went in full and ready to commit."
Sophie even went so far to say she stayed in the relo longer than she should, as she “wanted it to work for everyone”.
The 38-year-old admitted it was leaving the reality show, The Bachelorette, that changed things, with the bubble getting well and truly burst, "afterwards".
It was Canada however, that really changed things:
"When you go on holiday, you get to know someone. We're very different people. Different morals.
“You clash when you’ve got different morals”.
She then confirmed it ended in Canada and not as Stu claimed on Instagram.
“We didn’t break up via Instagram. I’m not just gonna announce it on Instagram."
Laundy says the duo still remain mates, however, when Monk was asked "what she would say to him?" Her reponse says otherwise:
“Oh, you’ll have cut it out.”
Woah!!! What is going on there?!?! Surely we can't help but assume something went pretty bad between the two. So the clues we have is the "clash of morals" and that what she wanted to say to him can't be aired on national television.
Attention then turned to Sophie, admitting she's going to freeze her eggs.
“I’d love to be a mum, I think I’m going to have to freeze eggs at this point, which I’m willing to do and I’m looking into right now.
"Oh, yeah. I've made a plan and all that stuff," she said.
"It's just the injections fitting into the schedule."
Despite it all Sophie still believes in fairytales and love.
"I love love," she says.
