George R.R. Martin Confirms THREE Game Of Thrones Spinoffs Are In The Works

1 min read

Yep that’s right, THREE.

Game Of Thrones might be in its final season but that doesn’t mean it’s disappearing from our television screens forever.

George confirmed on his blog that not one, not two, but THREE Game Of Thrones spinoffs are in the works and “moving forward nicely.”

“The one I am not supposed to call THE LONG NIGHT will be shooting later this year, and two other shows remain in the script stage, but are edging closer,” George wrote.

“What are they about?  I cannot say. But maybe some of you should pick up a copy of FIRE & BLOOD and come up with your own theories.”

He likes a good theory, doesn’t he?

We’ve also been promised a prequel series starring Naomi Watts and written by Jane Goldman.

Taking place thousands of years before the events of Game of Thrones, the prequel series will chronicle the world’s descent from the golden Age of Heroes into its darkest hour. And apparently, it’s not the story we think we know.

George R.R. Martin received a pilot order for the prequel in June 2018.

Yes, that’s almost a year ago, which means that he could have already written the first episode.

Although we won’t hold out breath…we know what George is like with getting his writing done.
