Jason Momoa is – for the most part – hugely popular among Game of Thrones fans (and people who simply appreciate a foiiine physique)

This would explain why the actor, who played Khal Drogo, was invited to the 2011 San Diego Comic-Con.

It would not, however, explain his vile statements at the event.

And he didn't apologise right away.

He mightn’t have ever in fact, if it weren’t dragged up from the ether following all the Harvey Weinstein saga.
