John Mayer Finally Addresses Rumours He’s Hooking Up With Kourtney Kardashian
So... are they true?
So John Mayer has been scootin’ around rumours he and Kourtney Kardashian have been hooking up for months.
Actually, it was way back in December that the rumours first surfaced, when a source told E! News that the two “connected” at the GQ Men Of The Year party. Oooooeeeer.
Juicy, yes, but reports that Mayer seemed “very into her” were way less interesting than his alleged pickup line:
“It was sweet serendipity running into you.”
"I gotta be honest with you," Mayer told Andy Cohen in an interview for his SiriusXM show. "Little suspicious about the origin of the story."
Mayer's main beef isn’t with the rumours themselves, they’re with the portrayal of his pickup game.
"The only part that made me upset to any degree was that somebody said when I saw Kourtney, that I said, ‘It was sweet serendipity running into you.’ Which I would never say… because that's hyper-corny.”
John suggested that it may have been Kourtney who started the rumours.
"Not sure the call's not coming from inside the house on this one," he said, adding: “And I will say, if the call is coming from inside the house, it's diabolical and genius. Because when people start gossiping about you and someone else, and they put your picture together, it gets real suggestive.
“You're like, "Well, if I do [date her], then everything falls into place, because they're already putting us together.”
But while we were hoping there was something to the rumours, the Your Body Is A Wonderland singer shut them down.
"I just think I'm post-celebrity relationship, probably, in my life."
Mayer also added that he's a big fan of momager Kris Jenner. A big fan… and slightly terrified.
"I don't want to be noticed by Kris Kardashian too much. I want a nice, base level of respect, and I don't want to be too far on her radar. It's hard to explain. She could end me."
Fair nuff. She could, you know.
