"It breaks my heart and angers my soul..."

Kim Kardashian has been slammed online for using a derogatory term for individuals with disabilities on her Instagram Story.

While entering Kendall Jenner's Halloween/Birthday event dressed as Pamela Anderson she asked guests to guess who she was.

Kardashian used the offensive slur as she poked fun at people who weren't able to guess correctly.

She is heard in the video saying:

“OK, guys, we are Pam Anderson and Tommy Lee.

“Nobody knows who we are here.”

Kardashian then spoke to her former assistant Stephanie Shepherd:

“Nobody knows who I am. Yeah! R*****ed.”

As you can imagine, the social media world erupted with backlash.

Kardashian has since apologised after the blasting.

The response forced the reality TV star to released an apology via Us Weekly:

"I want to apologise for what I said in a recent video post that is inappropriate and insensitive to the special needs community," Kardashian wrote on social media.

"I try to learn from my mistakes and this is one of those times. Please know that my intention is always pure, and in this case, it was a mistake. I’m sorry."

Kardashian paired her Pam Anderson costume with longtime pal Jonathan Cheban's Tommy Lee.
