Netflix has dropped the trailer for the not so secret Black Mirror movie, ‘Bandersnatch’

We also have a premiere date!

Netflix has been tortuously teasing the much-anticipated Black Mirror special event film, Bandersnatch.

And in a sudden wave of generosity (maybe all the Christmas food put them in a good mood) they’ve dropped a full length trailer.

In true Black Mirror fashion, the whole thing is still cryptic as hell.

This is the official synopsis:

“In 1984, a young programmer begins to question reality as he adapts a sprawling fantasy novel into a video game and soon faces a mind-mangling challenge,” the logline reads.

Basically the movie stars Fionn Whitehead (Dunkirk) as Stefan, working as a computer programmer in the 80s who seems to become obsessed with creating an “adventure game” based on a fantasy novel.”

The novel is, of course, titled Bandersnatch, and the author is, of course, a guy who apparently went a bit crazy “and cut his wife’s head off.”

Seems totally normal.

What could go wrong?

Oh and did we mention they also announced the release date.

Which is…today actually: December 28.

So lock your doors, get online and get watching.
