Pete Davidson's response to Ariana Grande's new song about him will surprise you

"And that's OK."

It's weird to think the Ariana Grande and Pete Davidson debacle only happened three weeks ago.

But it did, and a lot has happened in that time.

We've had jokes, tweets and a song

Now, Davidson has addressed the breakup in a more serious manner:

"The last thing I will say is I know some of you are curious about the breakup.

"The truth is it's nobody's business, and sometimes things just don't work out.

"And that's OK.

"She's a wonderful, strong person and I genuinely wish her all the happiness in the world."

The comedian then finishes off his speech urging viewers to vote:

"Now please, go vote on Tuesday!"

Nice little reference to Grande's song at the end there Davidson!

FYI: Davidson has deleted everything from his Instagram and does not follow anyone. However, Grande still follows Davidson.
