Aussie Travel Bloggers Finally Released From Iranian Jail

All of the charges have been dropped. 

Perth couple Mark Firkin and Jolie King were detained in Tehran, Iran some weeks ago after being caught flying a drone without a permit. 

Concern for the travel bloggers was raised online by their followers who noticed the pair had not been active on their social media account.

Mark and Jolie have now been released from prison and reunited with their families. 

Australia’s Foreign Minister Marise Payne confirmed the news via ABC News and said that the pair are in “good health and good spirits.”

In a statement to the media, she said:

“For Jolie and for Mark the ordeal they have been through is now over, they are being reunited with their loved ones, which is a source of great relief and joy to everyone.”
