“Entitled” Insta Couple Quit Social Media Following Intense Backlash

1 min read

It comes after they asked their followers for money.

Remember the other day when we told you about the Insta couple who wanted you to pay for their trip to Africa?

Well, they copped that much backlash that they decided to leave social media.

In a post of Catalin Onc's eye and his tattoo which reads "Look Within" Catalin revealed to their 41k followers they will be taking a break from social media:

"And with this post, I will step away from social media for a little while. I mentioned that I'll be doing the hardest thing I've ever done mentally and physically, soon.

"Here it is.

"I am going on a walk.

"I will walk as long as I possibly can. No sleep, No social media, No distractions."

Catalin and Elena Engelhardt run the @another_beautiful_day_official together which follow their travels around the world.

But as we all know travelling costs moola and it looks like the pair have run out so they started a Go Fund Me page requesting over $AU16,000 so the couple could tandem to Africa.

The page has been littered with comments from the public:

"Get a job like the rest and stopping begging ppl for money! I find it offensive that you'd even ask people to fund your trip when you're totally capable of getting a job and paying for it yourself!"

"My son says you need a job and stop abusing the kindness of your mother. She took care of you and loves you and you can't treat her like this. So beat it!"

"This go Fund me needs to be removed. You'd have enough of your own money for the cost of all of those tattoos! My advice get jobs & save for your on vacation."

According to their Go Fund Me page, the money will go towards tandem bike and gear, food and accommodation (when needed), internet and SIM cards in every country, insurance and emergencies.

Even though the pair are taking a break from Insta, the Go Fund Me page is still running and it's sitting at €347 of their €10,000 goal.

If they reach €10,000, it'll be a sad day for humanity.
