Skyscraper's Glass Floor Cracks In Actual Nightmare Come To Life
Well friends, turns out nightmares can come true.
And we're not talking about the boogeyman or the monster under the bed, rather, the existential shiver that comes from a cracked Chicago SkyDeck.
WBBM report - via visitor Jesus Pintado - that the unimaginable has happened AKA that the totes-safe, super-strong glass viewing deck on the 103rd floor of the Willis Tower cracked.
"There was a woman with two kids and they looked really pale and scared because the floor just cracked," Pintado told WBBM.
Willis Tower engineers said the cracking was only present in the thin anti-scratch layer, not in the load-bearing glass - which can support 4500 kilograms below.
The site has been reopened with yoga to be held next week.
Which is cool and all, but we're going to need a hot min to get over those cracks.
