Jeff Horn says he'd beat Conor McGregor in a boxing match
He also tells us whether he'd consider going into the Octagon against McGregor...
It's the most anticipated boxing match of the year, when Jeff Horn takes on Anthony Mundine in the River City Rumble at Suncorp Stadium on November 30.
Jeff caught up with Ash, Kip & Luttsy with Susie O'Neill this morning and shared his thoughts on the Khabib Nurmagomedov vs. Conor McGregor UFC fight last weekend.
“Look, he didn’t do too well, really… I don’t think he did want to be there anymore. I think he had made all his money, he went and make his boxing debut where he earned millions of dollars," Jeff said.
Kip asked whether he thought he could beat McGregor in the ring. Jeff was fairly confident in his answer.
“In a boxing fight, I’d beat him. Pretty comfortably I would think, in a boxing fight," Jeff told us.
But when it comes to facing him in the Octagon (for a hypothetical $5 million price tag), Jeff had some conditions.
“It’s possible, I might do a little thing like Mayweather, I’ll say I’ll go into the Octagon but you can’t use your knees, you can’t grapple… If he wants to fight in the Octagon.”
