Good Place star Jameela Jamil kicks off war against our obsession with weight
"Who gives a F**K what weight you are?"
Most days the Internet just highlights the fact that the world is a dumpster fire that stinks of rancid trash.
Jameela Jamil, however, has changed that up. The actress who plays Tahani Al‑Jamil in The Good Place has gone and taken a crappy trend and turned it into a positive movement.
What a babe, right?
In a nutshell, Jamil spotted a worrying trend where people were guessing the weight of the Kardashian sisters for some bloody absurd reason.
Jamil screenshot what she saw, called it out for the dangerous, toxic rubbish it is and instead, encouraged women to list the valuable things that add weight to their lives.
She then went and launched an Instagram account called @i_weigh which she describes as a "movement for us to feel valuable and see how amazing we are, and look beyond the flesh on our bones".
The account has garnered a whopping 110K followers and the support of some pretty major celebs like Emmy Rossum and Kristen Bell.
The incredibly powerful account is full of declarations of love for the many strengths, weaknesses and quirks that make women the powerful, wonderful creatures they are.
It's well worth a bit of a solid Insta session if you ask us.
