The Most Popular Baby Names of 2019 Include Some Head Scratchers

Baby Center has released their updated list of popular baby names for 2019 and while we're #blessed to see 'Nova' feature, we have to admit, there are a couple we didn't see coming. 

But before we wow you with the names, let's go over some broad themes shall we? 

Parents.com report that names beginning with the letter 'O' are at the higher end of popularity this year, with names like, Owen, Olivia, Oliver and Oakley all reppin' top spots. The publication add that gender-free names are also having their hayday like Elliot and Jamie, which we're feeling because it's 2019 and gender is a construct. 

According to Nameberry, other popular names for 2019 are those that include an 'X'. Especially, for boys. These include Alexander, Xander, Axel and Dax.
